You're not a machine, you're part of nature

If you’ve ever wondered why you can’t seem to go-go-go endlessly like some productivity guru promised… I invite you to exhale.
You’re not behind.
You’re simply human—and being human means you’re part of nature.
Somewhere along the way, many of us inherited the quiet expectation that we should operate like machines.
Always on.
Consistent output.
Minimal maintenance.
Predictable results.
But that’s not how nature works.
And that’s not how you work.
Nature has seasons. The moon waxes and wanes. The tide rises and falls. The earth tilts toward light and then away.
We’re part of that.
I’ve been reminded of this recently—especially after long days of work where my spirit just says… rest and enjoy. Instead of resisting or doing one more productive thing, I’ve been practicing leaning in.
I’m learning to embrace:
The seasons of energy and the seasons of rest
The moments of clarity and the times of confusion
The deep sleeps and the restless nights
The fertile bursts of creativity and the quiet voids
This is the rhythm of being alive.
When we allow ourselves to live more cyclically, there’s room for compassion, patience, and even joy in the quieter seasons... moving in harmony with the deeper intelligence of life itself.
If you need a gentle reminder that you’re allowed to ebb and flow, this is it.
You’re not here to perform. You’re here to live.
